-Tickets on sale now. All proceeds will go to Pieta House-

THE MAPLE TREE, Saggart have teamed up with renowned celebrity chef Derry Clarke to create an unmissable brunch event, taking place on 21 March at 11am, all in aid of Pieta House.

The entire proceeds from the event will go to support the important work of the charity in providing a free, therapeutic approach to people who are in suicidal distress and those who engage in self-harm.

Derry, who is also a Saggart native, has created an exciting menu using the ‘Derry Clarke at Home’ Breakfast Range. He will join forces with The Maple Tree Head Chef Philip Keane and his team on the day to whip up a brunch like no other. Those attending the event will have a chance to speak to Derry on the day and he will draw winners in the charity raffle.

Ticket holders will be treated to a tasty scotch egg, served with crispy bacon, spicy beans, field mushrooms and black & white pudding. This tasty dish will be served with toast, preserves and pastries, all washed down with a glass of prosecco and fresh orange juice, as well as tea or coffee. There will also be a vegetarian and vegan alternative available.

Derry, who is Patron of l’Ecrivain has enjoyed many accolades throughout his career including a rave review from eminent food critic A. A. Gill, as well as a 5 Star review by the New York Times.

Gareth MacHale, Proprietor of The Maple Tree said “We are excited to have Derry on board for this important fundraising initiative. We use the ‘Derry Clarke at Home’ range here in The Maple Tree and have been receiving excellent feedback from customers. Anyone who gets a ticket to this event is in for a real treat.”

Derry Clarke added “I’m delighted to work with my local, The Maple Tree on this wonderful event to raise funds and also awareness for the important work of Pieta House. The morning will be a wonderful celebration of the local community and a chance to socialise over good food, while supporting a very important cause.”

“We are thrilled that Derry and The Maple Tree have chosen to support our work,” said Pieta House Fundraising Executive Sinead Ronan Wells. “The morning will shine a light on our services and the much needed funds will help us to continue to carry out our vital work in the local community.”
